Basil M. Hantash, MD, PhD
Dr. Hantash completed his Dermatology Residency, postdoctoral training in the Program for Regenerative Medicine, and a prestigious fellowship in the Biodesign Innovation Program at Stanford University. He received his MD and a PhD in Pharmacology and Physiology from New Jersey Medical School, where he was inducted in the AOA Medical Honor Society and graduated as valedictorian of both his Graduate and Medical School. Dr. Hantash received his BS in Biology and minor in Chemistry from the University of Illinois, where he was the recipient of a Howard Hughes Research Fellowship. He completed his MBA with honors at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, where he was awarded the Price Institute Fellowship for entrepreneurship. He remains intimately involved in humanitarian relief work and is an award-winning poet featured in several books and audio CDs. Dr. Hantash's scientific research has led to over a dozen FDA product approvals and over 100 scientific publications
in prestigious journals. Dr. Hantash's scientific contributions led to the creation of 3 breakthrough laser platforms (Re-pair™, Re-store™ and Re-fine™), 2 microdermabrasion devices (Silkpeel™ MD and Spa), and most recently Lumixyl™, a novel safe and effective skin lightening system.
Neal M. Ammar, MD
Dr. Ammar also graduated from New Jersey Medical School, where he was inducted in the AOA Medical Honor Society and graduated as valedictorian of his medical school class. He scored in the top 1% of the nation on both of his medical board examinations.
Dr. Ammar is extensively trained in skin surgery and specializes in Mohs skin cancer surgery. He is a fellow of the American Society for Mohs Surgery
and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He has performed well over 7500 Mohs skin cancer surgeries to date, many of which required complex facial reconstruction. Dr. Ammar serves as the Director of Cutaneous Oncologic Surgery at CBCC (Comprehensive Blood and Cancer Center), a UCLA affiliated cancer center which is the largest free standing cancer center on the west coast of the United States. There, he heads all aspects of skin cancer treatments and works with a team of surgeons, radiologists, and oncologists to provide patients with the highest possible quality of care utilizing the most advanced and cutting edge techniques.
Geover Fernandez, MD
Dr. Fernandez graduated from New Jersey Medical School, where he was inducted in the AOA Medical Honor Society and also completed his dermatology residency. Dr. Fernandez is a diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of both the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and American Society for Mohs Surgery
. Dr. Fernandez served as Chief of Dermatology and Mohs surgery at Kaiser Permamente in Bakersfield, CA and is currently the Associate Director of Cutaneous Oncology and Skin Surgery at the Comprehensive Blood and Cancer Center, a UCLA affiliated cancer center. He performs an average of 20 Mohs operations per week and has completed over 5,000 surgeries to date.
